Third Annual Cambodian Living Arts National Youth Arts Festival > Honoring Teachers of the Past
The 2006 CLA National Youth Arts Festival opened with the traditional sampeah kru, a ceremony in which artists pay their respects to their teachers and generations of artists who came before them.
The Festival was designed to emphasize the process of teaching, learning, and sharing as well.
One of the goals of the Festival was to help encourage peer-learning and sharing among students from all different walks of life, and to encourage a spirit of volunteerism and leadership.
