Masters Teaching > Tep Marie and her students outside her classroom in the Tonle Bassac squatter community
Master Tep Marie is the third of the CLA's master teachers living and working in the Tonle Bassac community. She teaches a pinpeat ensemble, and was well-known before the Khmer Rouge as a rare female instrumentalist trained at the Palace, where she learned to accompany shadow puppet theater and lakhaon khol opera.
Here, she stands outside of her classroom in the Tonle Bassac squatter community. In April 2006, she moved into CLA House.
