PROGRAM: Special Project
AIMED AT: Artists and audiences from Cambodia and the USA
Season of Cambodia was a major festival held in New York City in 2013. We brought over 125 artists from Cambodia to New York City for celebration of Cambodian arts, culture, and humanities.
More than 30 arts venues presented works from both masters and emerging artists, including ritual, music, visual art, performance, dance, shadow puppetry, and film. The festival celebrated Cambodia’s artistic renaissance after the Khmer Rouge regime, and reflected on how important the arts have been to the country’s transformation.
